About the role – Business Development Manager

encompass are looking for a skilled Business Development Manager to work in our General Markets team, based in our Hong Kong office.

You will work alongside our Presales, Product and Solutions teams and be a key driver of complex sales processes, working closely with our clients to ensure our best in class platform is successfully integrated.  

We require a confident professional who works well individually, as well as part of a cross-departmental team environment and must enjoy the pace, variety and intensity of working for a scaling high-growth tech company.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To achieve new business revenue targets within a predefined territory
  • Create, nurture and manage your sales pipeline
  • Maintain an excellent level of product knowledge and be a subject matter expert for KYC and EDD, including local and global associated regulations
  • Maintain an excellent level of market knowledge and be a trusted advisor
  • Work closely with internal colleagues including EVP Global Sales, Head of Sales and Product Managers
  • Develop account plans for strategic accounts in your assigned territory
  • Accurate forecasting
  • Be an ambassador for the company at any client facing engagements 
  • Utilise associated encompass sales tools, processes and methodology 

About you:

For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:

  • 3+ years of successful/target achievement in software sales in an enterprise SaaS role
  • 5+ years successful experience in 100% new business focused role, building a territory from scratch
  • 5+ years successful experience selling into Financial Institutions or Large Corporates with a multi-stakeholder sale, ideally KYC, AML , Risk or Workflow solutions
  • Experience in selling/growing market outside the UK, preferably Europe
  • Demonstrable consultative sales approach
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with experience of dealing at C-level
