About the role


This position presents a rare opportunity to be part of a consulting practice within a high growth, global FinTech/RegTech business. Our unique KYC automation technology has been adopted by major financial and professional service firms and we now have demand for a Technical Consultant to work within our Delivery Services Group alongside our Product and Sales teams to implement Encompass’ leading KYC platform.


The Delivery Services Group is overseen by the Head of Practice in London to:

  • Support technology sales and implementation process by providing consultation/guidance throughout the client engagement
  • Deepen client relationships and deliver greater value by successfully implementing technology solutions
  • Build on the KYC compliance expertise/authority in our business

This role is a full time position, based in our London office. Regular travel to clients sites is required.


About you


You will be an experienced technical consultant, having successfully delivered and consulted to clients delivering API implementations in a financial services context. 


Along with the Solution Consultant and Project Manager, you will be responsible for launching the client on our platform.  You will liaise directly with technical teams in the client organisation to manage implementation / integration projects, configure encompass accordingly, explain & demonstrate functionality, and drive projects forward to meet challenging deadlines.


In particular, you will focus on API implementations and be a point of technical contact both internally in the business and externally for clients.


Responsibilities and duties


Typical activities include:

  • Client engagements, application configuration and product ownership
  • Hands on utilization of RESTful API
  • Understanding of agile software development
  • Ability to lead software development best practices
  • Carry out workshops with clients and prospects such to understand technical requirements
  • Create key technical artefacts and high value documents clients can refer to/be guided by
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in Pre-Sales, Tier 1 Business Directors and General Markets Business Directors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Product team and provide support in prioritizing requirements.


Qualifications and experience


To succeed, you must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering software as a service solution
  • Ideally experience delivering software solutions in a regulatory environment 
  • Solid end to end implementation experience
  • Subject matter expertise in Financial Services, Financial Technology, namely API Integrations.
  • An architecture or development management background is desirable as you will need to understand the wider technical aspect of projects, as well as the challenges associated with Implementation
  • Previously worked with scrum teams.
  • Strong, client facing experience with an ability to manage internal and external stakeholders (business and technical).
  • Demonstrated experience using and developing in Java, Angular.JS, RESTful Architecture, and RESTful APIs
  • Demonstrated experience using Postman and reviewing JSON files
  • Delivered API implementations for KYC services.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing API to CLM tools (eg. Fenergo / Pega)
  • Robust, resilient, empathetic, collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with excellent organisational, time and project management skills.
  • A determined and delivery focussed, positive attitude and flexibility when faced with multiple fast-paced, complex projects.
